About Richard A.
Richard A. Wilson trained first as a business student and then as a lawyer. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College in 1995 and completed his J.D. at Temple University in 1999. The two degrees inform a practice that moves between administrative claims and courtroom advocacy.
Wilson began his legal career in the early 2000s. He worked as an associate at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin beginning in 2002. Two years later he joined Ody & Wilson, P.C. and has been a partner there since 2004. That move placed him in a small-firm environment where he combined litigation work with client counseling and administrative advocacy.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that start at the agency level and, when necessary, continue through federal court. Over the years he has represented clients before administrative bodies and in civil litigation matters in state and federal venues.
Wilson’s professional life includes long-term membership in several legal and community organizations. He joined the Pennsylvania State Bar in 2002 and the Huntingdon County Bar Association in 2004. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice since 2005 and the Pennsylvania Association of Boroughs since 2012. Since 2013 he has held membership in the National Association of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
