Rhona Levine is a attorney based in Roanoke, Virginia, specializing in elder law, estate planning, probate, and business law. Her legal journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch College in 1978. She then pursued her Juris Doctor with honors at George Mason University School of Law, graduating in 1981. During her time at George Mason, she was selected for the prestigious Law Review, highlighting her academic excellence and commitment to the field of law. Following her graduation, Ms. Levine began her legal career in Washington, D.C., where she practiced for two years with Robert W. Annand, P.C.
This experience provided her with a solid foundation in various legal matters. In 1983, she returned to Roanoke and took on a new role as Business Manager for WROV Broadcasters, Inc. During her seven-year tenure, she gained valuable insights into business operations, which would later inform her legal practice. In 1990, Ms. Levine re-entered the legal field by joining Coleman & Massey, P.C. in Roanoke. Her focus on elder law and estate planning allowed her to help clients navigate complex legal issues related to aging and asset management.
After Coleman & Massey closed its doors in 2019, she transitioned to OPN Law, where she continues her practice in Roanoke, serving clients with dedication and expertise. Active in her professional community, Ms. Levine has been a key member of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (VAELA). She served as its President from 2016 to 2017, contributing to the advancement of elder law practices in the state. Additionally, she co-chairs the Legislative Committees of both VAELA and the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the Virginia Bar Association (VBA). Her involvement in these organizations shows her commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of elderly individuals. Since 2003, Ms.
Levine has also participated in the Multidisciplinary Panel of the Public Guardianship and Conservatorship Program of the Family Service of the Roanoke Valley. Her contributions to the legal profession have not gone unnoticed; she has been selected to the Virginia Super Lawyers list from 2020 to 2026. Furthermore, she is a member of the Roanoke Valley Estate Planning Council and the Roanoke Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association. She served as Treasurer from 1997 to 2001.
