About Rachel Anne
Rachel Anne Michael earned her law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law, completing her J.D. in 2007 after beginning studies in 2004. She entered the profession at a time when many new attorneys followed the traditional path from classroom to courtroom. Her academic record placed her among a generation of lawyers who moved quickly into public service and private practice.
Her first public role came in 2008, when she served as a deputy district lawyer in the Larimer County District Lawyer's Office. That post put her in the county courtroom early in her career. She handled case intake, courtroom appearances and the day-to-day work that keeps a prosecutor’s office functioning. The position gave her experience in the mechanics of county-level prosecutions and in coordinating with judges and defense counsel.
In 2010 she joined Montogomery, Kolodny, Amatuzio & Dusbabek, LLP as an associate. The role offered exposure to a broader docket and the rhythm of private practice. As an associate she worked on matters that required legal research, brief writing and participation in hearings. Those years added practice-side perspective to the prosecutorial experience she had gained in Larimer County.
She has also taken on local professional responsibilities. Since 2014 Michael has served on the Larimer County Bench & Bar Committee as the County Court Liaison for the criminal docket. In that capacity she has been part of discussions aimed at improving coordination between the bench and the bar, particularly where county court procedures and criminal scheduling intersect. The work requires steady communication and familiarity with court operations.
Today she heads the Law Offices of Rachel A. Michael, LLC. From that office she is admitted to practice in both Colorado and Wyoming. Her career path has moved from county office to firm associate to running her own practice. Each step added practical courtroom experience and firsthand knowledge of local court systems.
Clients and colleagues describe her as a lawyer who understands the rhythms of county court and the demands of law practice in two states. She continues to work in Colorado and Wyoming, handling matters that arise in county courts and related forums. Her current practice is centered at the Law Offices of Rachel A. Michael, LLC and serves clients across both jurisdictions.
