About Jennifer

Jennifer Gersch built a steady legal career from Denver classrooms to courtroom benches. She earned both degrees from the University of Denver, completing a B.A. in 2003 and a J.D. in 2007. Those years laid the groundwork for a practice that has moved between public service and private firm leadership.

She entered public service early. In 2008 she served in Weld County as a deputy district lawyer. That role placed her in the thick of court proceedings and early trial work. She moved into private practice a few years later, joining Highlands Ranch Law Center as an associate in 2011. The next year she stepped into a leadership position as managing partner at Corkadel and Schneider LLC, where she oversaw firm operations and case strategy.

In 2019 she joined Colorado Lawyer Team as a partner. The move consolidated a decade-plus of litigation experience and firm management. Her resume shows a progression from courtroom advocacy to firm leadership. It also reflects a broad engagement with legal procedure, both at trial and on appeal.

Gersch has remained active in the professional community. She serves as a mentor for the Colorado Lawyer Mentoring Program, working directly with newer lawyers. She holds membership in the Colorado Bar Association and participates in the Colorado Appellate Division and Trial Division of the Alternate Defense Counsel. She is also a member of the Sotomayor Inn of Court. Those affiliations connect her to both practice-driven work and peer development.

Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in case handling and attentive to the practical demands of clients and courts. Her background includes trial-level responsibilities from her time in Weld County and later exposure to appellate issues through her association work. She has managed teams inside firms and in that role handled administrative and strategic decisions alongside casework.

Today she practices at Colorado Lawyer Team where she continues to balance litigation and firm responsibilities. She mentors young lawyers while handling cases that draw on her trial and appellate experience. Her current practice focuses on litigation and counsel services at Colorado Lawyer Team.
