About Rachel A.
Rachel A. Miller earned her law degree from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2008. She moved through practical legal roles while in school, gaining experience at the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review as a legal extern in 2010 and serving as a law clerk at Thagard, Reiss & Brown the same year. Those early placements exposed her to court procedure and administrative practice.
After graduation, Miller worked in the Idaho Sixth Judicial District in 2011. That position placed her inside the state court system early in her career and involved day-to-day legal work connected to trial court operations. In 2013 she joined Racine Olson as a lawyer, taking on responsibilities typical of a firm attorney and building a practice in Idaho. Her resume shows steady movement from courtroom-adjacent roles into private practice.
Miller is admitted to practice in both Idaho and Utah. She is also a member of the United States District of Idaho and the Bankruptcy Bar. Those memberships allow her to appear in state and federal forums and to handle matters that require access to specialized federal dockets. Her bar associations list her status as current in both state bars.
Colleagues describe Miller as methodical and practical in her courtroom preparations. She has experience handling filings, hearings and the procedural work that underpins longer disputes. Her background at the Executive Office for Immigration Review gave her early exposure to administrative proceedings, while her time in the judicial district provided hands-on familiarity with trial court practice.
At Racine Olson, Miller’s day-to-day practice involves representing clients in matters before Idaho and Utah state courts and in proceedings in the United States District of Idaho and the bankruptcy court. She combines the procedural knowledge from her clerkship and externship years with the litigation work she has done since joining the firm. Her practice is based in Idaho and continues to operate across the jurisdictions to which she is admitted.
