About R. Kellen
R. Kellen Bryant earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2004 after completing a B.A. in political science at Florida State University in 2000. He moved from law school into practical work on both the state and federal sides of Florida’s courts. Those years of study and early court exposure shaped his interest in civil matters and probate work.
Bryant’s early legal experience included a summer associate position at GrayRobinson, P.A. in 2006 and an internship the same year with Judge Scriven of the Federal Middle District of Florida. He spent part of 2007 clerking for Judge LaRose at the Florida Second District Court of Appeal. That period also included an associate role at Mercer Law, P.A., where he handled research, drafted motions and learned how trial-level practice and appeals interact.
In 2009 he opened the Law Office of R. Kellen Bryant, P.L. The move to establish his own practice followed several years of hands-on work in both transactional and court settings. Since opening the office he has maintained memberships in the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Florida Bar’s Real Property and Probate Section, reflecting where he concentrates his work. Those memberships have been in place since 2007 and 2009 respectively and are current.
Bryant’s day-to-day work spans matters that touch on real property and estate administration. He handles transactions, title issues and the paperwork and court filings that probate matters require. He also represents clients in disputes that arise out of those areas. Colleagues describe him as practical in approach: he favors clear paperwork, straightforward client explanations and steps that reduce the likelihood of future litigation.
Clients encounter him in both transactional settings and at the courthouse. He draws on appellate exposure and trial-level practice when cases require argument or written advocacy. Outside formal filings he spends time keeping current on Florida property and probate rules and on the procedural aspects of estate administration. His clients are typically individuals and small businesses seeking assistance with property matters or estate administration.
He practices in Florida and maintains the Law Office of R. Kellen Bryant, P.L., where his current practice centers on real property and probate matters.
