About Carla
Carla Trinca-Conley began her path to law after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. She moved to Chicago to attend The John Marshall Law School, where she completed her J.D. in 2015. Those years framed her early interest in legal matters affecting older adults and people with disabilities.
While still in law school, Trinca-Conley combined classroom learning with hands-on work. She served as a teaching assistant at John Marshall in 2013 and volunteered with the Center for Disability & Elder Law the same year. In 2014 she was a summer legal intern at the Northwest Side Housing Center and worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Ann Collins-Dole. Her pro bono work at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid in 2015 further exposed her to client-side advocacy and community legal needs.
After law school she established her practice in Florida. She joined Berg Bryant Elder Law Group, PLLC as a lawyer in 2016 and has remained associated with that firm. Her membership in the Florida State Bar dates to 2015, and she holds board certification from the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization as an Elder Law Lawyer. That certification signals formal recognition in the field and informs how she approaches cases and counseling.
Trinca-Conley is active in professional circles that concentrate on elder law and guardianship. She is a member of the Florida State Guardianship Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Lawyers, and the Jacksonville Bar Association. Those memberships connect her to peers who handle complex issues around long-term planning, public benefits, and incapacity proceedings.
Her courtroom and office experience reflect both public service and private practice. The early judicial and nonprofit roles gave her exposure to housing, disability, and civil legal aid matters. In private practice she has worked on matters typical to elder law firms, drawing on her certification and organizational affiliations to serve clients in Jacksonville and the surrounding region.
Clients and colleagues describe Trinca-Conley as methodical and accessible. She approaches files in a practical manner, breaking down technical rules into everyday terms for families facing difficult decisions. She balances paperwork and procedural deadlines with the personal aspects that often accompany elder law work.
Trinca-Conley maintains an active license in Florida and continues to practice at Berg Bryant Elder Law Group, PLLC. Her current practice centers on elder law, guardianship, and related matters.
