About Paul Darrell
Paul Darrell Cramm builds his practice on steady legal work and courtroom time. He studied political science at the University of Kansas and earned his B.A. in 1991. He returned to the same campus for law school and received his J.D. in 1999.
After law school he established roots in the region and gained admission to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. He set up his own office in 2001 and has operated under the name Paul D. Cramm, Chtd. since then. Running a small firm has meant handling a wide range of tasks: client intake, case strategy, trial preparation and the day-to-day management that keeps a practice functioning.
Colleagues and clients know him for courtroom experience. His professional memberships reflect that orientation. He joined the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2002. In 2009 he added memberships in the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College for DUI Defense. Those organizations are professional networks for lawyers who handle criminal and DUI matters, and his sustained participation speaks to continuing engagement with peers and evolving practice areas.
His work has centered on representing individuals charged with crimes in state courts across Kansas and Missouri. He handles arraignments, pretrial hearings, plea negotiations and trials. He prepares motions and conducts investigations, often coordinating with investigators and expert witnesses. The file work is detailed and the courtroom work is brisk. He adapts strategy to the facts of each case rather than applying a single approach to every matter.
Clients looking for case-level detail will find direct contact typical. In a compact practice, the owner is often the person handling the file from start to finish. That is the arrangement he has maintained since founding his firm in 2001. He balances case load, courtroom calendars and client communications within that framework.
Outside of courtrooms and professional meetings, he maintains ties to the legal community through continuing education and the association work already noted. Those activities keep him current on changes in criminal procedure and DUI defense technique. He continues to represent clients in criminal matters in Kansas and Missouri and manages his practice through Paul D. Cramm, Chtd.
He currently focuses his practice on criminal defense in Kansas and Missouri.
