About Adam

Adam Stolte earned his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 2012. He entered the legal profession at a time when appellate work in Kansas was grappling with shifting standards and an increasing volume of criminal appeals. His early training at law school emphasized legal research and written advocacy, skills that would shape his career.

In 2013 he joined the Appellate Defender’s Office as an Assistant Appellate Defender. There he took part in the process of reviewing trial records, drafting appellate briefs, and preparing matters for oral argument. Those years provided steady exposure to the mechanics of appellate litigation and the demands of representing clients after trial. He worked alongside other public defenders and appellate counsel on cases that required close attention to procedural and constitutional questions.

Stolte has pursued specialized training that supports litigation and investigative tasks. He holds NHTSA certifications in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement for drug-impaired driving and in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing for alcohol-impaired driving. He also completed training in the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation through John E. Reid and Associates. These credentials reflect time spent learning technical testing methods, evidence evaluation, and interview practices used in criminal cases.

Since 2016 he has been a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. That membership has kept him connected to peers who handle criminal defense and appellate matters across the state. The association’s continuing education offerings and case discussions have been part of his professional routine.

Today he practices under the name Stolte Law, LLC. His work draws on appellate experience and technical training in impaired-driving investigations and interview techniques. He handles criminal defense matters, represents clients in post-trial appellate proceedings, and consults on issues that arise from roadside enforcement and investigative interviews. He publishes no public list of specific cases, but his background reflects a path from public appellate service to private practice.

He maintains active professional credentials and a practice based in Kansas. He practices at Stolte Law, LLC, where his current work focuses on criminal defense, appellate advocacy, and impaired-driving matters.
