About Onyema Anene

Onyema Anene Farrey combined business training and legal study in a single career trajectory. She earned a B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia and pursued graduate work at Stetson University, where she completed an MBA in Business Administration before earning her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2009. That mix of business and law has shaped how she approaches clients and cases.

Farrey launched her own practice in 2010, establishing Anene Farrey & Associates to serve a range of clients in state and federal forums. The firm was built in the months after law school and has handled matters that require appearances across Georgia’s courts. Farrey has spent years handling litigation and court proceedings, managing filings, and guiding clients through sometimes complex procedural pathways.

Her admissions reflect a practice that operates at multiple levels of the judiciary. Farrey is licensed in Georgia and admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and to the Bankruptcy Court of Georgia, Federal Court. Those credentials allow her to represent clients in both trial courts and appellate settings.

Farrey has supplemented her legal qualifications with specialized training in child welfare. She completed Guardian Ad Litem training through the Georgia Office of the Child Advocate and the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children. That certification has informed parts of her casework and prepared her to participate in matters that touch on child welfare and guardianship issues.

She maintains professional ties across the state. Farrey holds memberships in the State Bar of Georgia, the Clayton County Bar Association, and the Cobb County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Lawyers and of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Those affiliations reflect a sustained engagement with legal networks and community organizations.

Anene Farrey & Associates, LLC remains the central platform for her practice. The firm represents individuals and entities in proceedings across the state and federal systems. Her current practice focuses on matters in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy and child welfare cases.
