About Mr. Christopher D

Mr. Christopher D Thomas earned his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in 1996, where he concentrated on litigation. He earlier completed a bachelor’s degree in political science at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1990. Those years of study set a foundation in courtroom procedure and legal research that has informed both his military and civilian work.

After law school he entered practice that included service in uniformed legal roles. He served as a judge advocate for the U.S. Department of the Air Force and carried duties as a military defense counsel with the U.S. Air Force Legal Services Agency. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and Hawaii and is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, reflecting a career that has spanned both civilian courts and military justice forums.

Thomas has maintained active professional memberships for years. He has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the American Bar Association since 1999. Since 2004 he has held membership in the Hawaii State Bar Association and belongs to its Family Law Section. Those affiliations have kept him engaged with bar activities and developments in practice areas that intersect civilian and military law.

Over time his work has blended trial experience and defense advocacy. His litigation background traces to his law school emphasis and has carried through military defense work and courtroom appearances. In Hawaii he has also been involved in family law matters, reflecting his participation in the HSBA Family Law Section. The combination of military and civilian practice means he handles matters that require familiarity with procedural rules across different tribunals.

He works out of the Honolulu office, where he handles cases that draw on his litigation and military defense experience as well as family law matters. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers clear legal analysis and steady courtroom preparation. He continues to take cases that require experience in trial advocacy and military justice, practicing from his Honolulu office and maintaining licensure in Colorado and Hawaii.

He currently practices from the Honolulu office and focuses his work on litigation, military defense, and family law matters.
