About Grace

Grace Lee grew up and studied in Hawaii. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Hawaii - Manoa before earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Hawai i at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. Those years shaped both her interest in law and her ties to local communities. She stayed in the islands after law school and began building a practice rooted in state law and local practice.

She started her legal career in clerking positions. In 2018 she served as a law clerk at Hartley & McGehee, LLP, where she gained early exposure to civil litigation and client counseling. The following year she moved to Doi/Luke, Lawyers At Law, LLLC as a law clerk and, later in 2019, took on the role of attorney at the same firm. That transition from clerk to lawyer came quickly and put her in regular contact with judges, opposing counsel, and clients in Hawai‘i’s courts.

Her work has remained centered in Hawaii. The record shows she has worked and practiced under the Hawaii jurisdiction since entering the legal profession. At Doi/Luke she has handled matters that require attention to procedural detail and to the practical realities of local practice. Colleagues describe her as methodical in legal research and clear in written work. Clients have met with her on issues that call for direct explanation of options and consequences.

Lee’s training in psychology informs her approach to client interactions and case strategy. She tends to break complex issues into simpler parts, which helps clients understand where disputes stand and what steps lie ahead. In hearings and filings she focuses on clear argument and organized presentation of facts. Her practice experience has involved motion practice, client counseling, and preparing cases for negotiation or trial.

She is based at Doi/Luke, Lawyers at Law, LLLC and continues to practice in Hawaii. Her current practice focuses on civil matters and client representation in state courts in Hawaii.
