About Michael
Michael Young built a steady legal path that began in the classroom. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from California State University, San Bernardino in 1995 after beginning his undergraduate studies in 1991. He then attended Southwestern Law School and received his Juris Doctor in 1998.
He entered practice immediately after law school. In 1998 he joined Elliot Snyder & Reid as an associate, where he handled a range of matters for several years. Seven years later he opened his own office. Since 2005 he has operated the Law Office of Michael R. Young as the firm’s owner, managing the daily work of a solo practice and advising individual and business clients.
Young gained admission to the State Bar of California in 1999 and maintains that membership. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Over time he has joined several local bar groups. He holds memberships in the Hemet Bar Association, the Riverside County Bar Association and the San Bernardino Bar Association. Those affiliations have kept him connected to county-level practice issues and the local legal community.
Colleagues and clients have known him as a steady presence in the courtroom and the office. His career spans work as a firm associate and as a solo practitioner, and that combination shows in how he manages cases and client expectations. He has handled filings and appearances in both state and federal venues in California, and he continues to maintain the professional registrations required to do so.
Running a small firm requires handling many roles at once. Young oversees case strategy, client intake, filing and court appearances, and he manages the administrative side of the practice. He has built a practice that reflects his previous firm experience and the demands of solo practice. He also remains active in the professional organizations that serve the legal communities of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
As of 2026 he continues to operate the Law Office of Michael R. Young. His current work involves representing clients in matters brought in California state courts and in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
