About Stefan
Stefan Pancer earned his juris doctorate from U.W.L.A. in 1976. He built a practice that spans decades and several roles, from private practitioner to supervising attorney at a nonprofit. Colleagues and clients have known him for his steady presence in California's legal community.
Soon after finishing law school he established his own firm. By 1977 he was listed as president of the Law Offices, Stefan Robert Pancer, P.C., a title he has continued to hold. That early move into firm leadership set the course for a career that blended private practice with public-service work.
In the mid-1990s Pancer took on supervisory responsibilities at Legal Aid. There he oversaw casework and provided guidance to other attorneys working on behalf of clients who could not afford private counsel. The experience broadened his perspective on how law firms and legal services organizations operate.
Pancer is licensed to practice in California and holds credentials to appear before federal appellate and supreme courts. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions enable him to take on appeals and federal matters that reach those forums.
Active in his local bar, he has been a member of the San Bernardino County Bar Association since 1985. Through that association he has accepted referrals via the County Lawyer Referral Service. That connection has kept him plugged into the county’s legal network and the referral systems that help individuals find counsel.
Over the years Pancer has balanced running his firm with occasional public-interest work. Records show a continuity of practice leadership at Law Offices, Stefan Robert Pancer, P.C., and periodic supervisory roles in nonprofit legal services. He has maintained professional ties at the county level while preserving the ability to appear in federal appellate and supreme court proceedings.
Today he continues as president of Law Offices, Stefan Robert Pancer, P.C., representing clients in California and in federal courts where he holds admission. His practice remains centered on matters he is qualified to handle in those jurisdictions.
