About Michael Stephen
Michael Stephen Pittman came to law after earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a juris doctor from Arizona Summit Law School. He completed his legal education prepared to work in courtrooms and client conferences alike. The combination of business training and legal study informed his approach to practice from the start.
Pittman began his legal career in clerking roles, working at Sternberg and Singer in 2003 and later at Phillips & Associates Law Office in 2005. Those early positions gave him front-line exposure to case preparation and courtroom procedure. He moved into associate roles as his career progressed, joining Schill Law Group as an associate in 2014. By 2015 he was listed as a lawyer with Your Arizona Lawyer, where he took on a broader range of responsibilities and client matters.
Courtroom admission came early in his practice. Records show admission to the United States Federal Court for the Ninth Circuit in 2014. That step expanded the venues where he could appear and added federal litigation to his capabilities. Around the same time he began engaging with professional organizations connected to criminal defense and trial practice. He has been a member of groups such as the National College of DUI Defense and the American Institute of DUI/DWI Lawyers since 2015. He also belongs to the DUI Defense Lawyers Association and to both state and national bar-related groups.
Those memberships reflect the kinds of cases he has handled. Over the years Pittman has focused on defending clients in DUI and other criminal matters. He has also taken on general criminal defense work and related litigation tasks. His background in business adds a practical dimension when cases involve financial or administrative elements. Colleagues describe his path as a steady accumulation of courtroom work and membership in organizations that provide training and resources for defense attorneys.
Pittman maintains ties to local and regional legal communities. He is part of the Young Lawyers Association and holds solo practitioner association membership, indicating experience practicing both within firm structures and independently. Offices associated with his practice include multiple locations for Your Arizona Lawyer, including Phoenix and Surprise, reflecting a regional footprint in Arizona.
He continues to practice in Arizona and before federal courts where admitted. His current work at Your Arizona Lawyer involves defending clients in DUI and other criminal charges, handling both trial preparation and courtroom appearances as needed.
