About Michael R.

Michael R. Abram graduated from Hofstra University in 2000 with a B.A. in sociology and earned his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 2003. At Tulane he took part in the Criminal Law Clinic, gaining hands-on courtroom experience while still a student. That early exposure to trial practice and client work shaped the practical side of his legal training.

He was admitted to the Delaware bar in 2003 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Since that time he has been active in local professional circles. His memberships include the Delaware State Bar, the Sussex County Bar, and the Sussex County Defense Bar, all held continuously since 2003. Those affiliations have kept him involved in the county and state legal community and in ongoing professional development.

Abram’s work history is tied to The Law Office of Michael Abram. He has handled matters in Delaware courts and federal district court, applying the litigation practice found in his clinical training to real-world client issues. Colleagues describe him as practical and methodical in case preparation. He tends to approach matters by laying out clear options for clients and then testing them in court when needed.

His education in sociology informs how he assesses client situations and evidence. It also shapes his view of how legal problems intersect with social and community factors. The Criminal Law Clinic experience at Tulane gave him early responsibility in court appearances and client counseling. Over two decades of practice in Delaware has included routine motion practice, hearings, and bench trials at the state level and proceedings in federal court.

Outside the courtroom Abram has maintained steady ties to Sussex County bar associations. Those memberships have provided channels for continuing legal education and local networking. He has appeared before judges and opposing counsel across the state and in the federal district, developing familiarity with local procedures and the expectations of Delaware courts.

He currently practices through The Law Office of Michael Abram. He focuses his current practice on representation in Delaware state and federal courts, including criminal defense and related litigation.
