About Michael
Michael Pastacaldi trained at Seton Hall University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2008 after completing a B.A. at Wheaton College in 2000. He moved quickly from the classroom to the courthouse. A judicial law clerkship at the Superior Court of New Jersey began his legal career the same year he graduated.
After clerking, Pastacaldi spent time in private practice. In 2010 he worked as a lawyer at Jim Sharp & Associates, LLC. That role gave him direct courtroom experience and client-facing responsibility. A year later he opened his own practice.
He established The Law Office of Michael Pastacaldi in 2011 and has led the firm since then. The move to solo practice followed several years of observing litigation from both the bench and the plaintiff’s bar. Colleagues from the clerkship and from his time at Jim Sharp & Associates recall that he handled case preparation and motion practice in busy dockets.
Pastacaldi is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the District of Columbia. His bar and association memberships include the New Jersey State Bar and the Hudson County Bar Association, both since 2008. He has been a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice since 2010. He also held membership in the American Bar Association from 2009 until 2011.
That mix of clerkship, firm practice, and solo work shapes how he approaches cases. He brings courtroom familiarity from the bench together with years of trial and pretrial work. Clients see a lawyer who understands the procedural side of litigation as well as the practical demands of moving a case toward resolution.
Outside the office, Pastacaldi’s association memberships have kept him connected to regional legal developments and local bar activities. He has participated in events and meetings through county and state bar groups and has maintained professional ties across jurisdictions.
Today he runs The Law Office of Michael Pastacaldi. He represents clients in litigation and handles matters arising in New Jersey and the District of Columbia. His current practice focuses on representing clients in litigation in New Jersey and the District of Columbia.
