About Michael H.
Michael H. Joseph completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Oneonta, earning a B.S. in Philosophy and Political Science in 1996. He went on to law school at Tulane University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1999. Those formative academic years placed him on a path that moved quickly from classroom to courtroom.
Immediately after law school, Joseph joined the Legal Aid Society in Suffolk County as a public defender in 1999. He handled matters at the entry level of his legal career and gained early courtroom experience. A year later, in 2000, he became a partner at the Law Office of Michael H. Joseph PLLC, transitioning into private practice and taking on the responsibilities that come with running a small firm.
He is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. Over the years he has been active in several professional organizations. His memberships include the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Westchester County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar, the American Association for Justice, and the New York County Bar Association. These affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with the legal community across the two states where he is licensed to practice.
Joseph maintains his private practice through The Law Offices of Michael H. Joseph. He brings the experience from his early public defense work and his subsequent private-practice years to matters that arise in his offices. He represents clients across New York and New Jersey and handles the administrative and casework duties typical of a small firm principal. His current practice focuses on serving clients in New York and New Jersey.
