About Michael G.

Michael G. Wright earned his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1983. He completed his legal education after several years of study at Hamline and entered the profession in the early 1980s. The law school years set the foundation for a long career in practice across Minnesota.

He spent the years after graduation building a practice that has spanned more than four decades. That span has included courtroom work, client counseling and the daily demands of managing cases. Wright’s early years involved the kinds of tasks many young lawyers confront: researching, drafting pleadings, appearing in court and learning how to translate legal strategy into real results for clients.

Across his career he has remained active in the professional community. He is a current member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, an organization that represents trial lawyers and promotes legal standards in civil matters. He has used that affiliation to stay connected to colleagues and to keep up with developments in litigation practice and trial procedure.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in approach. He favors direct communication with clients and careful preparation for hearings and trials. That preparation often means sifting through facts and testimony until the right themes emerge. In the courtroom he prefers clarity over flourish. He frames arguments in straightforward terms, paced for judges and juries alike.

Outside litigation, Wright has kept a steady presence in the local bar. He has observed changes in the profession as technology and court procedure evolved. He adapted his practice to those changes while maintaining the procedural disciplines learned early in his career. As of 2026 he continues to practice law in Minnesota and concentrates on courtroom litigation and client representation.
