About Michael E.
Michael E. Perpall built a professional foundation that mixes two undergraduate degrees and a law degree. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Miami in 1998. He returned to school for law and received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2006.
After law school, Perpall joined the Massachusetts bar and has maintained his standing in the state since 2006. His membership in the State Bar of Massachusetts dates to the year he finished law school. He has been active in local bar groups, including the MetroWest Bar Association since 2006, which has kept him connected to the legal community outside Boston.
Perpall’s professional network expanded in 2022 when he added membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those affiliations signal the professional circles in which he works and the peer groups he relies on for resources and continuing education. He has used those connections to stay current on developments in state law and procedure.
The combination of communications and sociology studies early in his career informs how Perpall approaches clients and cases. He brings those academic perspectives to interactions with clients, witnesses and other parties. The result is a practice that pays attention to how people tell their stories and how those accounts fit into the larger legal picture.
Perpall operates the Law Office of Michael E. Perpall in Massachusetts. He represents clients in matters that fall under the criminal defense umbrella and handles cases across the state’s court system. He prepares filings, appears on behalf of clients in hearings, and works through pretrial and post-conviction stages as the facts of each matter require.
He maintains active bar memberships and local association ties to support his ongoing practice. Perpall continues to accept cases through his law office and to represent individuals in Massachusetts criminal matters. He currently focuses his practice on criminal defense in Massachusetts.
