About Megan Hunt
Megan Hunt Dell trained for the law in Charleston. She earned a B.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communication from the College of Charleston in 2007 and completed her J.D. at Charleston School of Law in 2010. Those years in school set the stage for steady court work and a string of practical placements that exposed her to both trial and administrative sides of the legal system.
During law school and immediately after, Dell accumulated a range of clerkships and externships. She served as a volunteer guardian ad litem in 2008 and worked as a research clerk at Gatgounis Law & Counseling Firm that same year. Her public-sector experience includes externships with the City of Charleston Legal Department and Charleston County Probate Court, and a judicial internship in 2009 with the South Carolina Judicial Department’s Ninth Circuit Family Court. She also spent time in 2009 as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Greenville and for The Condon Law Office, LLC. Those roles gave her repeated exposure to courtroom procedure, client interviews, and legal research under pressure.
Dell moved into private practice soon after finishing law school. In 2011 she began practicing under the names Megan C. Hunt, Lawyer at Law, LLC and Dell Family Law, P.C. She has operated her own practice since then, managing the responsibilities that come with running a small firm alongside representing clients. Her early public defender and court experiences inform the way she organizes case files, prepares witnesses, and approaches negotiations.
She holds a Guardian ad Litem certification from the South Carolina Bar, a credential that reflects her earlier work representing the interests of children in court-related settings. Dell maintains memberships in the Charleston School of Law Alumni Association and the Charleston County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her tied to local practice trends and professional networks in South Carolina.
Colleagues and clients describe Dell as practical and direct. She favors clear explanations over legalese and tends to break complex problems into manageable steps. Her background includes both defense work and family court exposure, which shapes how she evaluates risk and strategy for matters that touch on custody, support, and probate-related questions.
Dell practices from Dell Family Law, P.C., where she handles family law matters in South Carolina. Her current practice emphasizes family law work at Dell Family Law, P.C.
