About Marjorie
Marjorie DeCastro-Hirsch holds law degrees from institutions in Brazil and the United States. She earned a J.D. from the Catholic University of Goias in Brazil and later received a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. Those academic steps reflect a cross-border legal formation that informs much of her work today.
Her early career began in private practice. In 2009 she worked as an associate at DJS Law Office. By 2011 she had joined Kahane & Associates and McCalla Raymer as an associate lawyer, roles that exposed her to foreclosure defense, collection matters, and real estate litigation. Those positions gave her day-to-day courtroom experience and a practical grounding in civil procedure and client counseling.
DeCastro-Hirsch spent 2013 as an associate at Polenberg Cooper Saunders & Riesberg, PL. The following year she established The Law Offices of DeCastro-Hirsch, P.A., where she took on the role of managing lawyer. That step moved her from associate responsibilities into firm management, case intake, and direct oversight of litigation strategy. She has handled cases in state and federal courts and maintains admissions in Florida and before the Federal Circuit.
Outside the courtroom she has participated in local and professional organizations. She has been a member of the Weston Bar Association since 2014 and belongs to the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. She has maintained membership in the Young Lawyers Association since 2006 and served as treasurer of the Foreign Lawyers Association from 2006 to 2009. Those roles involved committee work, event planning, and engagement with lawyers who practice across jurisdictions.
Her practice has spanned real estate and civil litigation matters, including residential and commercial disputes, collections, and defenses tied to foreclosure-related proceedings. Clients have included individual homeowners, business owners, and lenders. She balances litigation tasks with client counseling and the administrative demands of running a firm.
Colleagues note her practical approach to casework and an emphasis on clear, timely communication with clients. She continues to maintain an active practice through The Law Offices of DeCastro-Hirsch, P.A., handling litigation and transactional matters in Florida and in federal filings before the U.S. Federal Circuit. Her current practice focuses on civil litigation and real estate-related matters.
