About Gregory
Gregory Light built his legal path from courtroom support to firm leadership. He earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2015 and practices in Florida.
His first significant legal role came in 2009 when he worked as a litigation paralegal at Rheingold, Valet, Rheingold, Shkolnik & McCartney LLP. That early exposure placed him close to case preparation and courtroom proceedings. It also offered a practical background in litigation work long before he entered law school.
After completing law school, Light moved into attorney roles. In 2016 he joined Jonathan Kline, P.A. as a senior associate. There he handled the day-to-day responsibilities expected of an associate attorney and learned the demands of client representation under the supervision of experienced counsel.
A year later he took on a leadership role at Light & Gonzalez, PLLC. Since 2017 he has been a Manager-Member at the firm. The title reflects both managerial duties and an ongoing role in client matters. He helped shape how the office operates and focused on overseeing case work and administrative functions.
Light’s background traces a steady arc from support staff to lawyer to firm manager. The progression is clear and pragmatic. His earlier paralegal work gave him familiarity with litigation mechanics. His time as an associate added courtroom and client experience. The transition to manager-member broadened his responsibilities to include running a practice while continuing to represent clients.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and practical in handling cases. He has maintained memberships in professional groups throughout his career. He works in Florida courts and deals with litigation matters that arise in the state’s system.
Today he practices from Light & Gonzalez, PLLC. He handles litigation and related matters in Florida and continues to balance the managerial demands of the firm with ongoing client representation.
