About Marie E.

Marie E. Casciari earned her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2011 after completing a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, with a pre-law concentration, at Boston University in 2007. She moved from a liberal arts study of ideas into the practical demands of the courtroom. The combination shaped a careful, analytical approach to legal questions.

Her first legal position was as a project assistant at Foley & Lardner LLP in 2007. She later served as a law clerk at Daley, DeBofsky & Bryant in 2009. After completing law school, she joined Daley, DeBofsky & Bryant as an associate in 2011. By 2013 she had taken on associate roles at DeBofsky & Associates, P.C., and began working through the DeBofsky Law group. Those early years gave her steady exposure to litigation practice and firm operations.

Casciari is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Washington and holds admissions to several federal courts. Her federal credentials include the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. These admissions reflect a practice that spans state and federal venues and requires attention to differing procedural regimes.

Beyond courtroom work she has pursued training that broadens how she handles client matters. In 2021 she completed the Essentials of Human Resources Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. She also earned a Mediation Skills Training Certification from the Center for Conflict Resolution. Those programs supply practical tools for dispute resolution and client counseling, and they augment the litigation skills she developed earlier in her career.

Casciari participates in professional organizations that connect her to peers and continuing education. She holds memberships in the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Those affiliations provide regular exposure to developments in practice and law.

She practices at DeBofsky Law, where she handles matters in both state and federal courts.
