About Mara

Mara Brust graduated from North Dakota State University in 2007 and earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011. Her path into law included a public-sector taste early on. In 2010 she worked as a legal intern in the Fraud Section of the Department of Justice, an experience that exposed her to federal prosecutorial processes and complex investigative work.

After law school she began her professional career as an associate at Conmy Feste Ltd. in 2011. That role placed her in a firm environment where she handled client matters and developed courtroom experience. Six years later she moved into firm leadership. In 2017 she joined Hall Law Personal Injury Lawyers as a shareholder and vice president, taking on both casework and managerial responsibilities.

Brust is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. She holds membership in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. Those federal admissions allow her to represent clients in a range of matters that reach beyond state court dockets.

Her background includes work on fraud investigations at the Justice Department and civil litigation at private firms. That mix of experiences informs how she approaches cases: attention to factual detail, and an eye toward procedural strategy. She has handled matters that require coordinating with experts, managing discovery, and preparing for trial, responsibilities that come with representing injured clients and pursuing claims on their behalf.

At Hall Law Brust serves in a leadership role while maintaining an active caseload. She works out of the firm’s Minneapolis, St. Cloud and Edina offices, often moving between matters that include settlement negotiations and court appearances. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and direct in court. Clients encounter a lawyer who combines federal experience from the DOJ internship with years of civil practice in the Midwest.

As of 2026 she continues to practice at Hall Law Personal Injury Lawyers and focuses her work on personal injury claims handled from the firm’s Minneapolis, St. Cloud and Edina offices.
