About M. Bradley

M. Bradley Brickhouse studied business and economics at the Virginia Military Institute before turning to law. He earned his J.D. from Regent University School of Law. Those two degrees shape how he approaches client work: a mix of practical business sense and formal legal training.

Early in his legal career Brickhouse worked at Oast & Hook PC. Records show he was a lawyer there in 2009. He later joined Oast & Taylor PLC, where he has continued his practice. His career path has stayed largely within Virginia, and he has maintained courtroom eligibility at the federal level in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Brickhouse is admitted to the bar in Virginia and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. That combination of state and federal admissions gives him options for how to present cases and where to file. Colleagues say that working across those forums requires careful procedural thinking and an attention to differing rules. Brickhouse’s academic background in business and economics contributes to that procedural and strategic perspective.

Outside of court admissions and firm affiliations, Brickhouse’s record is straightforward. He moved from Oast & Hook PC to Oast & Taylor PLC during the course of his practice. Such moves can reflect shifts in firm structure or areas of practice; in Brickhouse’s case they represent continuity in a regional legal career. He has practiced law continuously since his early years after law school.

Clients and peers describe his work style as direct. He tends to lay out legal options in clear terms. That mirrors his training at VMI, which emphasizes discipline and clarity, and his legal education, which stressed advocacy and legal research. Those influences appear consistently in how he prepares for hearings and correspondence.

In the office Brickhouse works on filings, courtroom preparation, and legal analysis. He handles both state-court matters in Virginia and cases that proceed in the Eastern District of Virginia. He keeps pace with procedural changes in both jurisdictions and adapts his practice accordingly.

He currently practices at Oast & Taylor PLC, representing clients in matters in Virginia state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
