About Loula
Loula Giannet built her legal foundation at the University of South Florida, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science, and at Stetson University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor. She entered the profession equipped with classroom training and early courtroom exposure. The path that followed combined public service, judicial work and private practice.
She began her career in Florida’s trial courts. In 1998 she worked as a judicial staff lawyer in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. The next year she moved into prosecution as an Assistant State Lawyer and prosecutor in the Fifth Judicial Circuit. That early mix of courtroom procedure and case preparation shaped the kinds of work she would later handle at higher levels of the judiciary.
In 2001 Giannet served as a judicial law clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She returned to trial-level prosecution in 2002 as an Assistant State Lawyer in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. Those positions exposed her to appellate briefing, evidentiary issues and the logistics of multi-jurisdictional practice.
Her judicial experience continued in 2007 when she served as a Substitute General Magistrate for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida. The magistrate role required case management, hearings and the drafting of recommended orders. After years in public service and on the bench, she transitioned to private practice and established the Giannet Law Office.
Giannet is admitted to practice in Florida and in several federal fora. Her admissions include the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Supreme Court of the United States. Those credentials reflect a practice that spans trial and appellate work and includes federal court litigation.
She operates the Giannet Law Office and maintains multiple office locations. Her current practice focuses on federal and appellate litigation.
