About Christian
Christian Myer built his path to the courtroom at two Florida schools. He earned a B.S. in political science from the University of South Florida in 2000. He followed that with a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2003, where he completed a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy and studied trial techniques.
His early career moved quickly into public service. In 2004 he joined the Office of the Public Defender for Florida’s 6th Judicial Circuit. That work put him in front of juries and judges on a regular basis. Two years later he opened the Law Office of Christian Myer and served as its president, shifting some of his energy into private practice and courtroom representation.
Teaching followed as another avenue for his courtroom work. In 2009 he returned to Stetson as an adjunct professor. He brought real-case experience into the classroom, explaining trial strategy and courtroom procedure to law students. In 2011 he also worked as a lawyer at Dolman Law Group, adding experience at a different, larger practice environment.
Myer’s background centers on trial advocacy. His academic certificate in advocacy at Stetson underpins years of trial work in criminal matters. The arc from public defender to solo practitioner and then to work at a broader firm gave him repeated opportunities to try cases, handle plea negotiations and prepare witnesses. He has been a member of the Clearwater Bar Association and, since 2012, the Florida Justice Association.
Observers see a consistent thread in his resume: courtroom work and instruction. He has balanced courtroom hours with teaching and membership activity in local and statewide bar groups. Those activities have kept his practice grounded in Florida courts and in the mechanics of trial procedure. He practices in Florida, concentrating on criminal defense and courtroom trial work.
