About Lewis David
Lewis David Sorokin studied cognitive science and music performance before turning to law. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2019 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science and a minor in Music Performance. He earned his J.D. from Drexel University School of Law in 2022, where he concentrated in intellectual property matters. Those academic choices — science, music and law — set the stage for a practice that often sits at the intersection of creativity and legal doctrine.
Sorokin began his legal career in private practice immediately after law school. In 2022 he joined the Law Office of Simon Rosen PLLC as an associate. The following year he moved to Wilftek LLC, where he continued work as an associate handling IP-related client matters. His early cases and assignments have covered transactional counseling, registration and clearance work, and routine litigation support. He has handled matters for creators, small businesses and technology clients, navigating practical issues that arise around copyright claims and licensing questions.
Outside case files, Sorokin has been active in professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law and belongs to The Copyright Society. He also participates in Water & Music, a group that connects music professionals and others involved in arts-related legal work. At the state level he has served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section, where he has taken on roles including Copyright Committee Head and Treasurer. Those positions have kept him involved in drafting committee materials, organizing programming and advising on procedural questions that affect copyright practitioners in the state.
Colleagues describe Sorokin as attentive to the practical needs of clients and careful in research and preparation. His training in cognitive science and music informs how he approaches disputes that involve creative works, and it helps him translate technical or artistic concerns into legal strategy. He maintains dual admission in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, which allows him to represent clients across both jurisdictions on a variety of IP issues.
As of 2026 he practices at Wilftek LLC. He spends his time on copyright matters, licensing, registration and related intellectual property counseling for creators and small businesses.
