About Lee R.
Lee R. Zeidman built his legal foundations in Chicago. He studied at DePaul University and continued at John Marshall Law School. Those years anchored a career that moved quickly from the research table to the courtroom.
Early in his career he worked at Hoogendoorn & Talbot LLP, where he served as a law clerk and later as of counsel in 2007. The experience gave him exposure to litigation practice and the day-to-day demands of managing client matters. Two years later he founded Zeidman & Associates Ltd., opening a private practice that he still oversees.
Admission to practice in Illinois and Florida, and before the Seventh Circuit, shapes how he approaches cases. He has handled filings and appearances in state and federal settings. That credential set allows him to represent clients across multiple forums and to pursue both trial-level and appellate work when cases require it.
Recognition arrived early. In his career he received a Rising Star designation from Super Lawyers. The accolade reflects peer and editorial selections rather than promotional claims. He has continued to build a professional profile through courtroom work and client representation rather than public awards or academic postings.
Colleagues describe him as methodical. He tends to break complex problems into discrete steps. That way of working shows in how his firm manages cases and communicates with clients. The firm itself remains relatively small, which he says helps maintain direct client contact and clearer case oversight.
Outside of casework, Zeidman has maintained bar membership and a presence in professional circles since at least 2008. He has worked both as counsel inside a firm structure and as the principal of his own practice. That mix of roles informs how he staffs matters and assigns responsibilities within his office.
He has practiced through changes in litigation technology and procedural rules. He adapted courtroom preparation and document management to contemporary practice without abandoning foundational trial skills. Today he continues to accept matters that involve state and federal litigation, including filings before the Seventh Circuit and work arising in Illinois and Florida. His current practice focuses on representing clients in those jurisdictions and handling related federal appellate filings.
