About Mark B

Mark B Grzymala runs a small Chicago practice and has spent more than two decades working in Illinois courts. He founded Grzymala Law Offices, P.C. in 2015 and serves as its principal. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Grzymala earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology in 2001. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, awarded in 1998.

He was admitted to the bar in 2001 and has maintained active membership in local and state bar organizations since then. Early in his career he built experience handling disputes that touch on construction, contract and commercial matters. Over time those matters became a regular part of the docket at his own firm. He opened Grzymala Law Offices, P.C. to provide a more direct way of managing litigation and advising clients in those areas.

Beyond the courtroom, Grzymala volunteers time to professional and civic organizations. He joined the American Bar Association’s Construction Law Forum in 2016 and became a member of the ASA Chicago board of directors in 2021. He also serves as a national director at large for the Polish American Congress, a role he took on in 2018. His long-standing membership in both the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association dates to the year he was admitted to practice.

Colleagues describe him as steady in litigation settings and attentive in client conferences. He tends to approach cases by breaking them down into discrete issues, then pressing those points in court or at the negotiating table. His courtroom practice includes appearances in state trial courts and in federal court before the Northern District of Illinois.

Grzymala combines courtroom work with the administrative tasks of running a small firm. He handles filings, case strategy and client counseling, and he delegates where the matter requires broader resources. The firm’s practice reflects the mix of construction-related problems, commercial disputes and contract issues he has handled throughout his career.

He remains active in professional circles and community organizations. He currently represents clients in construction-related disputes and commercial litigation.
