About Ben

Ben Schneider earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois - Chicago John Marshall Law School in 2006. He built his early legal training into courtroom experience and procedural knowledge that would shape his career. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

He began his post-law school career as an associate at The Law Offices of Weingarten & Adler in 2008. The position placed him on fast-moving matters and exposed him to contested proceedings. Within a year he left to help establish a new practice. In 2009 he became managing partner of The Law Offices of Schneider & Stone, a firm that carries his name and reflects the direction he chose for his work.

At Schneider & Stone he took on responsibilities that go beyond individual casework. Managing partner duties include supervising staff, guiding case strategy, and overseeing client relations. He has led teams handling contested matters in state and federal forums. His membership in the American Bankruptcy Institute signals an ongoing engagement with bankruptcy law and the professional community that studies it.

His practice has centered on bankruptcy-related matters and litigation that arises around financial distress. He represents parties in adversary proceedings, contested claims, and court-supervised restructurings. Admission to the Northern District of Illinois gives him access to a federal forum where many commercial cases are heard, and his work has involved both motion practice and negotiated resolutions before and during formal proceedings.

Peers and clients encounter him most often as the lawyer running a small firm and taking responsibility for both strategy and client communication. The office handles a range of bankruptcy matters, from consumer filings to commercial cases that require coordinated creditor or debtor representation. He remains active in professional circles, participating in the American Bankruptcy Institute to stay current on developments in case law and statutory change.

He continues to serve as managing partner at The Law Offices of Schneider & Stone. He represents debtors, creditors and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation.
