About Lauren
Lauren Hulse earned her law degree from the University of Denver, receiving her J.D. in 2008. She began her legal career immediately after law school, entering the local court system and building early experience that would shape her work in the years that followed.
Her first position after graduation was a fellowship with the 18th Judicial District in 2008. That role placed her inside the courthouse and introduced her to the pace and procedures of trial-level practice. In 2009 she moved into private practice as an associate attorney at Marrion Law Office. There she handled client work and developed practical skills in case preparation, client counseling and courtroom appearances.
By 2012 Hulse had progressed to a senior attorney role at Johnson Sauer Legal Group, where she also served as a mentor attorney. That dual responsibility combined case work with supervision and training of junior lawyers. In 2014 she opened Hulse Law Office and became the firm’s owner. Running a small firm added administrative duties and strategic decision-making to her daily responsibilities as an attorney.
Over the last decade she has maintained steady ties to the local bar. Hulse has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association since 2008 and joined the Arapahoe County Bar Association in 2013. She holds membership in the Alliance of Professional Women beginning in 2016. Since 2017 she has participated in the Jefferson County Bar Association, contributing to events such as the committee that organizes the Year End Banquet.
Colleagues describe Hulse as a practitioner who blends courtroom familiarity with the routines of managing a law office. Her time as a mentor attorney is a recurrent theme in her career narrative; it reflects an interest in training younger lawyers and ensuring continuity in client service. She has worked in different roles across public and private settings, giving her a range of perspectives on practice in Colorado courts.
Today she is the owner and principal attorney at Hulse Law Office. She is licensed to practice in Colorado and continues to represent clients in matters arising in state courts while also advising and mentoring less-experienced attorneys in her firm and local professional groups. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in Colorado courts and on mentoring junior attorneys.
