About J. Adam
J. Adam Beckman built his career through steady movement between public service and private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Rochester in 2001 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron in 2005. Those academic years set the stage for work in courtrooms and law offices across Colorado and the Tenth Circuit.
After law school, Beckman took a position in the 10th Judicial District Lawyer’s Office as a deputy district lawyer in 2005. The job put him into day-to-day courtroom work early in his career. He handled hearings and assisted in case preparation while gaining practical experience in trial procedure and courtroom strategy.
Two years later he moved into private practice. In 2007 he joined The Law Office of Dennis A. Lacerte as an associate. That period marked a transition from government work to representing individual clients and businesses. The role required him to manage files, prepare briefs and attend court on behalf of clients. It also expanded the range of matters he handled and exposed him to the demands of client counseling in a smaller firm setting.
By 2014 Beckman was listed as a lawyer at The Law Offices of Brandon R. Ceglian. That listing reflects continued work in private practice and ongoing courtroom appearances. Over time he accumulated experience in both pretrial and trial phases, and in proceedings at different levels of the judiciary. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the Tenth Circuit, so his work spans state and federal forums.
Throughout his career Beckman has balanced litigation work with the practical tasks of running case files and guiding clients through procedural steps. He has moved from the public sector’s collective work of a district lawyer’s office to the one-on-one responsibilities of private practice. That path has given him familiarity with courtroom deadlines, motion practice, and the document work that underlies larger disputes.
Today Beckman practices in Colorado and appears in matters that reach the Tenth Circuit. His practice involves litigation in both state and federal courts, handling the procedural and courtroom work that those cases require.
