About Lara J.
Lara J. Schneider-Bomzer earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2000 after completing an M.P.A. at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School in 1996 and a B.S. from Syracuse University in 1991. Her academic path combined public administration and law. That combination has shaped a career that moves between public service and private practice. The sequence of degrees also placed her squarely in the period when elder law and public benefits law were expanding as discrete practice areas.
She began her legal career as a judicial law clerk at the Stamford Superior Court in Connecticut in 2000. A year later she joined Legal Services for the Elderly in Queens, representing and advising older adults. In 2003 she became an associate at Vincent J. Russo & Associates, P.C., and a decade later she joined Czepiga Daly Pope as an associate lawyer in 2013. She made partner at the firm in 2017 and was elevated to senior partner in 2023. Over those years she has maintained licensure across multiple states and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
Her professional memberships reflect a continued engagement with elder law and the bar community. She has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 2013 and has held membership in the Connecticut Bar Association since the same year. She was a member of the New York State Bar Association from 2010 until 2013. These affiliations track alongside a career that has moved between nonprofit legal services and private practice, suggesting sustained work on issues affecting older clients and the systems that serve them.
Schneider-Bomzer’s trajectory shows steady advancement inside a single firm after years of broader experience. She has combined courtroom and clinic-style work early in her career with later responsibilities in firm leadership. She is based at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC, where she serves as senior partner. She currently practices elder law.
