About Brendan F.

Brendan F. Daly has built a long practice in Connecticut focused on the legal issues that affect older adults and their families. He took a direct path into law, earning a Bachelor of Arts at Hartwick College and completing his Juris Doctor at Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1997. He has been active in the state legal community since the late 1990s.

After law school Daly moved into private practice and into firm leadership. In 2000 he became a principal and managing partner at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC. That role placed him at the center of a small firm environment where he handles client work and oversees case management, staffing and practice development. He has carried those managerial duties alongside a practice that addresses estate planning, estate administration and long-term care planning.

Daly’s credentials reflect a sustained emphasis on elder law and veterans’ benefits. He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation, a designation that requires peer review and demonstrated competency in elder law. He is also an accredited Veterans Affairs claims lawyer, authorized to represent veterans and their families in claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Professional service has been a constant in Daly’s career. He has belonged to the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 2000 and has served as vice president and a board member of the Connecticut chapter since 2007. He joined the executive committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Elder Law section in 2013 and continues in that role. He has maintained memberships in both the Elder Law and Estates & Probate sections of the Connecticut Bar Association since 2000, and he has been a member of the broader Connecticut Bar Association since 1998.

Outside the bar, Daly’s civic involvement extends to health care and care planning organizations. He has been a corporator at Hartford Hospital since 2003 and held a position on the advisory council of Jefferson House from 2003 to 2009. He also holds membership in the National Care Planning Council, which he joined in 2009.

Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who combines firm leadership with detailed case work in matters that often involve public benefits, probate administration, guardianship, and veterans’ benefits claims. He maintains an active practice in Connecticut handling elder law, veterans’ benefits, and estate planning.
