About Terrance
Terrance Lomme earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1980. He built a career around Connecticut probate work and the courts that oversee it. His legal education at Quinnipiac provided the foundation for decades of work in estate administration and probate adjudication.
He served on the bench for years. Lomme was a judge for the Saybrook Probate District and later served as the probate judge for the Town of East Haddam. In those roles he handled matters that ranged from estate settlements to guardianship petitions. Colleagues recall that his court experience involved both routine probate administration and contested hearings. After leaving the bench he returned to private practice, carrying an intimate knowledge of how local probate courts operate.
Outside the courtroom he has taken active roles in bar and probate organizations. He served as president of the Middlesex County Bar Association and continues his membership there. He is a member of the National College of Probate Judges and the State Bar of Connecticut. He also serves on the Probate Assembly Executive Committee. Those positions have led to regular involvement in continuing legal education and local bar governance.
In private practice Lomme holds the title of Of Counsel at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC. His work at the firm draws on his judicial background. He advises clients on estate administration, contested probate matters, guardianship and conservatorship filings, and related procedural issues that arise in probate court. He also assists attorneys who are preparing cases for hearing or who need guidance on probate procedure. His approach is practical and informed by years on the bench.
He has kept a steady presence in Connecticut’s probate community rather than seeking broader public office or a national profile. That focus has kept him involved in local bar affairs and in mentoring newer probate practitioners. In his current role he combines courtroom experience and bar leadership to consult on probate and estate matters. He is Of Counsel at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC, where he concentrates his practice on probate and estate matters.
