About Lance Kristopher

Lance Kristopher Baker earned his B.A. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Lincoln Memorial University’s John J. Duncan, Jr. School of Law in 2013. His time in law school provided the foundation for courtroom work and client counsel. Those years shaped how he approaches case preparation and legal research today.

After law school, Baker began practicing in Tennessee. He is licensed to practice in the state and has maintained an active role in the local legal community. Over the years he has pursued opportunities to stay engaged with peers, both through traditional bar groups and through networks that bring together professionals from different fields.

Baker holds current memberships in the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also participates in Nucleus Knoxville, a local professional and entrepreneurial collective. These affiliations keep him connected to developments in state law and provide regular contact with other lawyers, judges, and community leaders.

His practice centers on criminal defense. He represents individuals at various stages of criminal cases, including pretrial proceedings, negotiations, and trial work when needed. Baker handles the practical work that defendants face: gathering evidence, examining the record, and advocating in court on behalf of clients. He often works directly with clients to explain court procedures and the potential consequences of different paths through the system.

The Baker Law Office is his operating firm. Through that office he manages client intake, case strategy, and courtroom filings. The firm aims to provide clear advice and steady representation in matters brought before Tennessee courts. Baker’s involvement in bar associations and defense-focused organizations informs how he evaluates legal arguments and prepares cases for hearing.

Outside of litigation, Baker engages with local professionals through Nucleus Knoxville. That participation has created informal opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from business, technology, and other legal specialties. His work remains grounded in courtroom representation and client counseling rather than academic or policy pursuits.

He maintains ties to the Knoxville legal community through association work and local professional networks. He continues to litigate and advise clients in Tennessee criminal matters and manages his practice through The Baker Law Office. He currently concentrates his practice on criminal defense matters in Tennessee.
