About Joshua
Joshua Lanzetta built his legal foundation at the University of Denver, where he completed an LL.M. in Environmental Law & Policy and later earned a J.D. He began his undergraduate studies at Plymouth State College, receiving a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. Those academic credentials set the stage for a practice that blends environmental law, regulatory work and nonprofit counsel.
After law school, Lanzetta established a multi-jurisdictional practice. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Colorado. Over the years he has taken on roles that extend beyond private practice. He served on the board of the United States Telemark Ski Association for several years, acting as secretary from 2007 to 2013 and then as president from 2013 to 2015. In the New Hampshire Bar Association he chaired the Telecommunications, Energy, and Utility Law Section from 2017 to 2018. Those positions reflect a mix of regulatory interests and organizational governance.
Lanzetta also has a record of serving nonprofit and advocacy organizations as outside counsel. Since 2015 he has been listed as legal counsel to the Surfrider Foundation, and he has served as legal counsel to New England Disabled Sports beginning in 2019. His background in environmental law informs that work, and it intersects with energy, utility and telecommunications matters that often have regulatory and permitting components. His training in environmental law and policy informs how he approaches permitting issues, compliance questions and stakeholder engagement, and he regularly addresses matters that sit at the intersection of environmental regulation and infrastructure development.
He practices at Bruton & Berube, where his work blends transactional and regulatory matters for both private clients and nonprofits. He takes on matters involving environmental permitting, utility regulation, telecommunications projects and organizational governance. Admitted in New Hampshire and Colorado, he divides time between regulatory filings, counsel to boards and negotiated settlements. He is currently practicing at Bruton & Berube and focuses on environmental, energy and telecommunications matters.
