About Kathryn
Kathryn Bain entered law through steady steps and steady roles. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005. She went on to the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco and received her J.D. in 2008.
Early in her career she worked at The Armstrong Law Office, first as a law clerk in 2007 and then as an associate in 2008. Those formative years put her in the courtroom and the office. She handled research, motion work and client intake while learning the mechanics of litigation.
By 2010 Bain moved into partnership roles. That year she joined firms that included Landman Law and Camerlengo Johnson Landman & Mazza LLP as a partner. The following year she was a partner at Landman & Mazza LLP. In 2014 she became a partner at Bain Mazza & Debski LLP, where she has continued her practice. The string of partnerships reflects a steady progression from junior roles into firm leadership and shared responsibility for case strategy and client management.
Bain is active in professional circles. She has been a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association since 2008. She joined the San Mateo County Bar Association in 2010 and remains affiliated. Those memberships have kept her connected to developments in employment law and to other practitioners handling similar issues.
Her practice centers on employment matters. Over the years she has handled individual claims and class actions, contested hearings and settlement negotiations. She is experienced in wage-and-hour disputes, wrongful termination claims and other workplace litigation. Her day-to-day work involves drafting pleadings, conducting depositions and arguing motions, as well as advising clients on practical choices that affect litigation exposure.
Colleagues describe Bain as methodical and thorough in case preparation. Clients hire her for litigation experience and for clarity in explaining legal options. She balances courtroom readiness with efforts to resolve cases when resolution serves a client’s interests.
She practices in California and maintains an office through Bain Mazza & Debski LLP. She handles employment disputes, wage-and-hour claims, wrongful termination cases, and related litigation.
