About Justin
Justin Jacobson earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2008 after completing a bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Florida in 2004. He finished his studies during a period when Florida family law and circuit court practice were evolving rapidly. Those formative years shaped the practical legal approach he later brought to his cases.
Soon after law school he became a member of the Florida State Bar in 2008 and began practicing in the Eighth Circuit. Early career work included courtroom appearances and client counseling typical for young lawyers learning how to manage contested hearings and negotiated resolutions. He also engaged with local professional groups; in 2009 he served on the Board of Directors of the EJCBA Young Lawyers Division. That role put him in regular contact with fellow practitioners and judges across the circuit.
Over time Jacobson concentrated his work in family law. He met the requirements to become Board Certified by The Florida Bar as an Expert in Marital and Family Law, a credential that reflects peer review and experience standards established by the bar. Board certification is not automatic; it requires demonstrated experience, satisfactory peer evaluations, and successful completion of an examination. Earning that recognition signaled a transition from general practice to an emphasis on family law matters.
His professional affiliations extend beyond courtroom practice. He is a current member of the Eighth Judicial Bar Association and the Florida State Bar. He also maintains membership in Keep Alachua County Beautiful, linking his professional life with community stewardship. In 2014 he accepted a position on the Board of Directors for Friends of Morning Meadow Preschool, a voluntary role that connects him to local educational and civic initiatives.
Jacobson is listed as holding offices at Bogin, Munns & Munns. Through that firm he handles family law matters in state and circuit courts and appears in proceedings within the Eighth Circuit. His practice involves handling contested hearings, negotiated settlements, and the preparation of court filings that arise in marital and family disputes. Colleagues and clients see him as a lawyer who relies on procedural knowledge, local court experience, and the benchmarks required for board certification.
He remains active in bar and community organizations while practicing at Bogin, Munns & Munns, where his work centers on marital and family law matters.
