About Joshua C
Joshua C Vincent began his professional path in engineering. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis. He later went to Southern Methodist University for law school and graduated with a J.D. The combination of technical training and legal education shaped the early contours of his career.
After law school he entered practice and established Vincent Law Group P.C. in 2011. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Texas, and he is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He is also registered with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, a credential that ties directly to his engineering background. His engineering credentials include an E.I.T. certification from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners.
Vincent’s path has included roles that cross professional and civic lines. Since 2013 he has served as Secretary of the Young Lawyers Division of the Williamson County Bar Association. He has been a member of the Franklin Noon Rotary Club since 2013, and he sits on the Board of Directors for the Premier Business Park Owners Association, a role he has held since 2013. He has also maintained membership in the Williamson County Bar Association since 2012.
Those affiliations reflect a practice that moves between business and technical subjects. His engineering training gives him a working familiarity with technical drawings, product design, and mechanical concepts. That background can be applied when preparing patent applications, reviewing inventions, or advising clients on rights and risks tied to technology and products.
Colleagues describe him as practical in approach and methodical in preparation. He tends to break complex problems into discrete issues and to focus on the documents and facts that matter most. He has combined private practice with ongoing local bar and civic involvement, keeping one foot in the legal community and another in local business associations.
He continues to practice at Vincent Law Group P.C., where his work involves patent matters, intellectual property issues, and related civil practice in state and federal courts. His current practice focuses on patent prosecution, transactional IP work, and litigation in applicable jurisdictions.
