About Jon
Jon Bell earned his juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 after completing a bachelor’s degree at the State University of New York at Albany. He finished law school at the turn of the century and entered the profession equipped with a foundation in public and private law studies. His academic record placed him among a generation of lawyers who moved quickly into practice as the new millennium began.
After law school, Bell became licensed to practice in New York and later also took admission in Connecticut. He is a partner at The Bell Law Group. His role at the firm involves managing client matters and participating in firm leadership. As a partner he works with colleagues on case strategy, client intake, and supervising associate attorneys. He has practiced across the jurisdictions where he is admitted, representing clients in state and federal forums when matters require it.
Bell maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. These affiliations link him to continuing legal education, peer networks, and professional resources that inform his practice. He engages in the professional community through those organizations, attends meetings and seminars, and keeps current on developments that affect litigators in New York and Connecticut.
The Bell Law Group is where Bell advances his day-to-day work. The firm serves clients through multiple office locations. At the firm he focuses on managing cases, coordinating litigation strategy, and advising clients on procedural matters as their cases progress. Colleagues describe him as accessible and methodical in managing files and preparing matters for court. He has built his practice over decades in practice, working in both state and federal courtrooms and guiding clients through pretrial and trial phases. He currently practices law in New York and Connecticut at The Bell Law Group.
