About Joel
Joel Case built his legal foundation at Saint Louis University School of Law. He began his studies in 1970 and earned his law degree in 1973. Those years set the stage for a long career rooted in Missouri courts and federal practice.
Early in his professional life he served as a law clerk in 1970 to the U.S. Lawyer General. That experience offered a close look at federal legal work and the operations of government legal offices. He moved from that formative role into private practice and court work, carrying the perspective of a clerk into the courtroom and conference room.
He has been a member of the Missouri Bar since 1973 and remains active in that body. He is also a long-standing member of the St. Louis County Bar Association, another affiliation he has held since 1973. Over the decades those memberships have connected him to colleagues across the state and region.
Case holds admission to practice before multiple federal forums. He is admitted in Missouri and also authorized to appear before the Eighth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that has included matters rising beyond state trial courts to appellate and national venues. He has navigated procedural and substantive requirements in several layers of the judicial system.
His professional life has been anchored in St. Louis County. He maintains an office at 1190 Meramec Sta. Rd. The address figures in his ongoing work and in consultations with clients and fellow lawyers. It is a steady point of contact after more than five decades in law.
Colleagues and clients have known him for a pragmatic approach to legal problems. He favors clarity in filings and straightforward preparation for hearings. He has balanced trial work, court filings and federal practice over a long career. The record of his practice reflects sustained engagement in the courts where he is admitted.
He currently practices from his Meramec Street office and continues to handle matters in the jurisdictions where he is admitted.
