Jessie Ann Kohler is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California in 1995, holding. Throughout her career, Ms. Kohler has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex employment litigation. She has successfully tried cases involving claims of harassment, discrimination, breach of contract, whistleblower retaliation, and unpaid overtime. Notably, she has served as co-lead counsel in multi-district overtime litigation and coordinated multiple national class and collective actions. Her litigation experience encompasses all stages, including pre-trial motions, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Before joining Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP, Ms. Kohler was a partner at the Los Angeles office of Winston & Strawn LLP from 2003 to 2009, where she primarily represented Fortune 500 companies in labor and employment matters. She began her legal career as an associate at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in 1995, later transitioning to Winston & Strawn in 2000. Her extensive experience includes handling complex employment disputes and providing strategic counsel to corporate clients.
Ms. Kohler is an active member of the California Lawyers Association and its Labor and Employment Law Section. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers from 2006 to 2010. In addition to her legal practice, she has been a frequent speaker and trainer on various employment law issues, including sexual harassment, wage and hour laws, and class actions. Ms. Kohler is fluent in English and Spanish, enabling her to effectively serve a diverse clientele in the Los Angeles area.
