About Jessica
Jessica Ramos earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, completing the degree in 2011. She moved from law school into public service early in her career. The classroom gave her doctrinal grounding. The courtroom tested it.
In 2012 Ramos worked as a prosecutor at the Bexar County District Lawyer's Office. There she handled day-to-day responsibilities typical of a county prosecutor: drafting charging documents, preparing witnesses and moving cases through the early stages of litigation. The role exposed her to the mechanics of trial preparation and courtroom procedure. It also required fast decision-making and frequent interaction with law enforcement and victims.
After her time in public prosecution she entered private practice. She now practices at Hunt Law Office, PLLC. At the firm she applies the procedural knowledge and case-management habits she developed in the public sector. Colleagues describe her approach as straightforward and disciplined. She prioritizes clear communication about case status and practical next steps.
Ramos is licensed to practice in Texas and maintains current membership in a professional legal association. That ongoing affiliation keeps her connected to developments in state practice and to peers across multiple specialties. She has continued to build experience handling contested matters and navigating procedural hurdles in state courts.
Her work shows the transition many attorneys make from government seats to private practice: courtroom experience followed by a more client-facing role. That path informs how she assesses risk, plans pretrial strategy and handles negotiations. She is comfortable preparing filings, working through discovery and standing for hearings when necessary.
Outside of casework, Ramos keeps an eye on developments in Texas law that affect litigation practice. She has sought out continuing legal education and professional contacts that support the practical demands of running matters through trial. Her background in the Bexar County office remains a touchstone for how she approaches evidentiary and procedural questions in private practice.
As of 2026 she is a member of Hunt Law Office, PLLC and practices law in Texas, bringing prosecutorial experience into her current litigation and advocacy work.
