About Mia

Mia Buratowski built her path to law from a solid academic foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 2015, then went on to complete her J.D. at South Texas College of Law in 2019. Those years shaped the legal instincts she uses in court and at her desk today.

After law school, Buratowski established herself in Texas practice. She is licensed to practice in the state and has been active in local and state bar activities since finishing her degree. Early involvement with the Houston Young Lawyers Association dates back to 2016, and she joined the Texas Aggie Bar Association in 2017. These memberships reflect a steady engagement with professional networks as her career moved forward.

Her association list reads like a map of the region’s family law community. She has been a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Bar Association since 2019. Since 2020 she has participated in the Fort Bend County Bar Association, the Katy Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Family Law of Fort Bend. She also serves as an associate in the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inn of Court, a position she has held since 2020. In 2021 she joined the Texas Bar College, maintaining that membership into the present.

These affiliations accompany practical work in family law. Buratowski handles cases that involve divorce, child custody, support, and the division of marital assets. Her file room includes contested hearings and negotiation sessions. She represents clients in Fort Bend County and neighboring jurisdictions, working through the procedural and emotional complexities that family matters bring to court calendars.

Colleagues describe her as methodical and prepared; opposing counsel note she knows the local rules and courtroom expectations. She spends time preparing pleadings and motions and often appears in hearings on temporary orders and final trials. Outside the courtroom she engages with continuing legal education through bar-affiliated programs and the Inn of Court, keeping current on changes in family law practice in Texas.

Buratowski practices at Hunt Law Office, PLLC, where she is part of a team that handles family law matters in the Houston area and across Fort Bend County. Her current practice focuses on family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings.
