About Jennifer

Jennifer Ryczek built her legal foundation at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She went on to Marquette University Law School and graduated with a J.D. Her education combined Midwestern public university roots with the practical training of a law school in Milwaukee.

Early in her career Ryczek worked in public service. She served as a prosecutor in Dover, Wisconsin, handling cases on behalf of the state and gaining courtroom experience. That work gave her a steady exposure to trial practice and case management under pressure.

She also spent time with the Volunteer Lawyers Project, offering legal assistance to clients who might otherwise lack representation. That role broadened her perspective on client needs and the realities many people face when dealing with the legal system.

Ryczek later practiced at Halling & Cayo, where she worked alongside other attorneys in a private firm setting. The move into private practice allowed her to handle a wider variety of matters and to adapt skills learned as a prosecutor to different types of legal problems.

Today she is the principal of Ryczek Law. In that role she manages the business of a small firm while providing legal services directly to clients. Running a firm requires juggling administrative responsibilities alongside client work. Ryczek has navigated that balance in her transition from government and nonprofit roles to leading her own practice.

She holds membership in multiple professional organizations. Ryczek is an active member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association. She also belongs to the Washington County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to colleagues across the state and the country and provide access to continuing legal education and professional networks.

Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who has moved through different parts of the legal landscape: prosecution, volunteer legal aid, private firm practice, and firm leadership. Her experience touches both courtroom work and client counseling. She has worked in Wisconsin at every stage of her career and remains licensed to practice in the state.

Her current practice focuses on serving clients in Wisconsin through Ryczek Law.
