About Jeffrey Paul

Jeffrey Paul Saxon took a direct route into courtroom work. He earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2007 and built a career that crosses public service and private litigation. He is admitted to practice in New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Early in his career he worked as a trial lawyer at Carman, Callahan & Ingham. That experience put him in front of juries and judges on a range of civil matters. He later moved into public-sector law as Assistant General Counsel for the New York City Department of Correction. There he handled legal issues tied to municipal operations, disciplinary matters and litigation arising from the department’s work.

Saxon returned to private practice and now serves as a partner at MDF Law, PLLC. His resume reflects both courtroom experience and in-house government counsel work. He has handled litigation and advocacy on behalf of institutional and individual clients, and his background has given him regular exposure to administrative proceedings and arbitration forums.

Outside the office he is active in professional organizations that align with elements of his practice. He holds memberships in Teamsters 237 and the Civil Service Bar Association, and he is a member of PIABA, the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association. He also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of International Business and Law, a role that keeps him engaged with legal scholarship and emerging issues in cross-border commercial practice.

Colleagues describe him as someone who moves easily between trial work and regulatory matters. He has represented clients in contested proceedings and has experience preparing cases for trial and appellate review. His time in municipal government informs how he approaches cases that touch on public employment and departmental policy. He draws on courtroom experience when matters require litigation, and on his in-house background when cases involve administrative or personnel components.

He practices from the New York office of MDF Law, PLLC. He focuses his current practice on securities arbitration and investor matters, civil litigation involving public employees and government-related legal issues.
