About Jacqueline
Jacqueline Candella began her academic path in business. She earned a B.B.A. from Pace University and then went on to receive a J.D. from New York Law School. Those degrees set a foundation that combines commercial understanding with formal legal training.
After law school, Candella entered practice in New York. She is admitted to the New York bar and has built her early career at Malecki Law, where she serves as an associate. In that role she handles day-to-day responsibilities common to litigation practices: researching legal issues, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, and communicating with clients. Colleagues describe her work as steady and detail-oriented.
Candella’s involvement extends beyond case files. She holds the position of Walk Chair for Staten Island Walk Like MADD. In that volunteer role she coordinates local fundraising events, recruits and organizes volunteers, and works with community partners to plan logistics. The position keeps her tied to public education efforts and community outreach.
She also maintains memberships in several professional organizations. Candella is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Public Investors Advocates Bar Association (PIABA). Her membership in PIABA signals an interest in investor and securities issues, while the National Association of Women Lawyers connects her to broader professional networks for women in the law. She joined the State Bar of New York in 2023 and her membership remains active.
At Malecki Law, Candella is part of a team of associates and partners who manage a steady docket of matters. Her daily work involves legal research, drafting, and supporting trial preparation. She assists senior attorneys in developing case strategy and in preparing filings for court. The practice provides frequent opportunities to engage with procedural and substantive questions across civil litigation.
Outside the office, Candella’s community and association work continues to shape her professional outlook. She balances casework with event planning and networking responsibilities. The combination of business education, law school training, and practical litigation experience informs how she approaches client matters.
Her current practice focuses on civil litigation and client representation at Malecki Law.
